The Lodge at Banner Elk is thrilled to welcome standalone restaurant / bar / market “Last Penny” to the property. Last Penny will be serving up breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner and good times in the High Country.

Born in 2026 - the year the USA stopped minting new pennies - The Last Penny will give Banner Elk a nostalgic (like pennies will eventually be) indoor/outdoor gathering place, to hang, be yourself, bring your friends and family to fuel up for long days in the mountains, or après, whatever adventure you've discovered in the High Country. 

With all its might and personality in spades, The Last Penny will deliver a blend of a Bodega market, community tavern with great food, cold drinks and outdoor fun for all; in the amazing setting that is Banner Elk.  

12 months a year, The Last Penny is the perfect spot to enjoy with a friend, the kids, a dog or just come solo!
